Salt is extracted from the sea in large facilities called Salinas. The salt flats are actually shallow deposits in which water accumulates from the sea.
As a result of the sun and the wind, the water disappears little by little, the water evaporates, at the bottom of the “ponds” is the salt.
Salt is collected and stacked to be packed and transported to the collection center.
